With everyone feeling the pressure of the current state of the economy, now can be a very daunting time to plan a wedding or special event. Many brides are tightening their designer purse-strings and opting for more budget friendly weddings. I'm the type of girl who appreciates a good deal and loves scouring sales, flea markets and antique joints for great buys, but I also appreciate the finer things and know that in most situations with weddings, and really in life, you get what you pay for.
What's so delightful to find is that many designers and wedding peeps are offering budget conscious lines for brides, so you can have your dream wedding cake and eat it to-(finally an apt use for that quote, considering on a tight budget, you might be eating the styrofoam version of your cake!)
Lela Rose, a designer many of you know for her unfussy, yet gorgeously hand-detailed wedding gowns, and her fabulous laid back luxury ready to wear line of clothing. She recently partnered with Payless shoes to offer dyeable wedding and occasion shoes for under $50! They are really cute, and really affordable, which is why they are perfect for those looking to save in some areas, but still look like a splurge!
