Jen and Dave's April 30th Wedding couldn't have been on a more perfect Spring Day.
Birds chirping, the sun shining, and cool breezes. Hand-made touches could be seen throughout the day, from the bridesmaids gift bags, the chocolate favors made by hand by a friend to the dinner menu's at the Delaware Art Museum, everything about Jen and Dave's wedding was heartfelt.

Sometimes, it's the simple Juxtaposition of 2 unlikely styles that makes the boldest statement.
I love the idea of a wedding using an earthy palette of wood, stone, metal, grasses, feathers and leather. It's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll with a splash of punk and hippie blended organically into something that feels both primitive and futuristic, and extremely stylish!

For Friday, I thought I'd do a post surrounding a few dresses I'm currently obsessing over-all of which are soft, very neutral feminine colors and fabrics, but with a fun, flirty and fabulous feel of the early 20th century!

Day 2 of Seth & Alyssa's Baltimore Wedding..They sure do make one stylish couple!
Event Coordinator Jennifer Grove of Sky Blue Events introduced the couple to the venue, which is a really beautiful location just minutes from downtown Baltimore on a quiet, peaceful street near Loyola's Campus
One thing that was really important to Seth & Alyssa was that their wedding be about family,
and let me tell you, they come from the most amazing & loving families, it was such an honor to
photograph them and get to know their personalities!
The first ceremony was Jewish, to celebrate Seth's faith, followed by a traditional Thai Water Ceremony in honor of Alyssa's heritage.
During the ceremony, the bride and groom kneel together, and a holy string is draped from one head to the other, forming a circle and connecting the couple. This symbolizes their spiritual union. They then ” Wai ” by clasping their palms together in the traditional prayer-like gesture while one by one, guests walk up and pour a conch shell full of sacred water over the couple’s hands while offering a blessing or marital advice. The water ceremony is usually performed by all guests older than the couple, with the grandparents and parents proceeding first, followed by relatives and friends of the family.

Thank you to Style Me Pretty for featuring Alyssa & Seth's Baltimore Wedding!
Seth & Alyssa's wedding was really about marriage and combining two lives together.
First off, they are unbelievably kind and understanding, even when the forecast was threatening torrential rains, not much ruffled their feathers. They were getting married to each other, and friends and family from all over had gathered at the Evergreen Museum & Library in Baltimore to share in the excitement. Luckily, the clouds parted mid-morning and gave way to a gorgeous, sunny day for their wedding, which was filled with tradition, culture and laid back elegance with touches of whimsy throughout.
The amazing bouquets are from Local Color Flowers-SO gorgeous!
And Alyssa's Dress & Shoes are both J.Crew, and the adorable ring bowl is non other than Paloma's Nest, and the whole event was styled by the amazing team of Sky Blue Events

When it came to Alyson & Noah's engagement session, they wanted the photos to reflect the two of them as a couple, with elements that were meaningful to their relationship, from Alyson's alma mater to Dunkin Donuts, which is not only Alyson's favorite food, but was how Noah proposed to her, over DD coffee and donuts...
I had the best time getting to know Alyson & Noah, they truly are one of the sweetest, happiest, most genuine couples I've ever had the luck to call friends, and I am so excited for their Autumn wedding later this year!
